Inga von Interlaken

Inga von Interlaken is a 12 month old black German Shepherd. Inga found herself is such a sad situation: her family lost their home, they had to move in with relatives. At the last minute the relatives decided that Inga couldn’t come too, the kids and the family were crying saying good bye to Inga. She was left at one of the most crowded shelters in Los Angeles with little chance of a home. When she got rescued and jumped into a crate in the back of a station wagon with a thick pad, she curled up and went to sleep. She had been so stressed and worried; now she knew she was safe. The volunteers let her sleep for a few hours in the shade with the doors open, before they got her out for pictures and to go into another kennel. We are hoping Inga will find a forever home soon. Inga is good with other dogs and is sharing a run. She is about 65 pounds and will probably remain close to that size. She has had good care; her coat is shiny and thick. She is very easy on the leash and walks well. Once she gets settled in a new home, she will bark to let strangers know that she is on duty. She is such a special girl; we wished so much that we had a new home already for her.
